Why buy a seat from Rick Mayer?
Knowledge
As a Critical Care Nurse with a background in Orthopedics, I understand the relationship between anatomy, pressure, and pain and I know how to relieve it. As a motorcyclist I understand how this all relates to two wheels and a butt.

Experience
My Father, Bill Mayer, taught me to sew when I was 12 years old. He taught me saddle building in 1975. I am the only Mayer that built saddles before he passed away. I have personally built thousands of custom saddles.

Pride
It's like my dad said, "If you don't take the time to do it right, when will you find the time to do it over?" I take great pride in each and every saddle I make. I make every saddle as if it were for my bike!

Detail
Perfect top stitches, matching the grain of the leather, tying the ends of seams as would a surgeon, to name a few are examples of the type of attention to detail given each one of my fine saddles. Detail not found in a mass produced, 'assembly line' product.

I expect great customer service from the companies I deal with, and you can expect the same form me.

Flexibility
Any bike, any rider. Definitely NOT "Off the Shelf." Customer can specify special colors, initials, etc.
